I had been running from the Lord for many years, but one day while attending a church service, the Lord called me to worship ministry. At that moment, I had no clue what that meant or what I was doing. I always had a desire to express something musically, but I had given up on it until that day when I heard His voice. God began to break me and download songs in pieces, and at other times, the entire song or hymn would come during prayer, reading scriptures, or sitting in my car on my lunch break. A pastor had given me a prophecy early in my Christian walk, though it didn’t make much sense at the time. Since then, as I sought the Lord and served in the church as a worship leader, elder, associate pastor, and teacher in biblical studies at college, God slowly helped me understand His calling on my life. I realized that it is not about me or my gift but how that gift is used to serve others and give Him all the glory. I have no illusions of grandeur or desire for fame; I give it all to God, and He can do what He wills.
My desire is to help us grow in our faith, seeking His kingdom and winning souls to Jesus Christ. I recognized that every culture in the world has one universal language: music.
